My name is Mr. Jim Bloomer. I am in my thirteenth year of teaching and my eleventh at O’Hara Catholic School. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in History from the University of Oregon with an emphasis on modern Europe and the Plateau Native American tribes of the Pacific Northwest, most notably the Nez Perce. My teacher education was completed at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. I ran the 3000m Steeplechase in college and am still an avid fan of track and field and running. I have a son, 12, and a daughter, 9 and my wife and I enjoy taking our family vacations to Orcas Island and the Snake River. |
